About Us

The Ringwood Lawns Bowls Club Inc. is located in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne about 25km from the city centre.

The Club's history shows that it has gone through a number of transitions and has resided in it's current location since January 1997.

The bowling club is probably one of the finest venues in Melbourne boasting 2 turf greens and 1 non-living Promaster green.

All three greens are of eight rink square international size.

The modern Clubhouse is spacious and gives a very attractive outlook over the greens and our well manicured gardens.  It provides a full range of facilities to meet the needs of our members and visitors including bar, kitchen, pool and darts.  In addition we have ample and secure off-street car parking.

The synthetic green has enabled the Club to provide lawn bowls twelve months a year.

Through the summer, the RVBA Affiliates section enter 8 sides into the metropolitan pennant competition and the VLBA Affiliates section enter 4 sides.

There are as usual a host of social and competition events staged for both sections

Two of the greens are flood lit and a weekly Thursday night Jackpot pairs event is played throughout the year.  In addition the Club enters 2 teams into the Summer Tuesday night pennant competition.

The Club is also very active in Indoor Biased Carpet Bowls and is able to lay two carpets in the clubhouse.  During the winter a number of teams play in a Tuesday night pennant competition.

Our excellent Clubhouse can seat about 200 people who can be catered for with a first rate kitchen and bar.

The Club has an active social program throughout year, with events staged both at the club and outside excursions.

The Clubhouse is a wonderful venue for functions and seminars and is available for hire on non-bowling days and evenings for these events.  Click here for more information.
